Dabbling with Duck Skulls

Although fly fishing is one of my favourite passions, hunting is a close second. Whether it’s wading in a swamp calling ducks or sitting in a tree stand waiting for a grey ghost to appear, hunting is one of my favourite ways to spend my time outdoors.

Drake Woodduck, Drake Mallard, Hen Mallard, and a Drake Pintail. Of the dabbling (puddle) ducks, these four have some of the most colourful bills. I figured they'd make a perfect quartet. Original pencil artwork by Nick Laferreire
